How to make 라면 (Shin Ramyun)
Now, over the past few weeks, the world has been going crazy over what Kylie Jenner puts in her ramyun. Kylie posted the videos on her Snapchat and ever since then people have been commenting and even sharing what they put in their ramyun. Well today is kind of a double whammy because you get to not only see what I put in my ramyun, but how to make it aswell.
Today, I will be doing this with the Nongshim Shin Ramyun which I purchased from Tesco's for 70p (If you click the image above it should take you to the Tesco's website)
Anyways! Let's get started!
For this you will need:
One pair of chopsticks, Shin Ramyun, Salt/Pepper and processed cheese |
Your ramyun should look like this so far |
Then stir the noodles until everything is mixed together. I put this on the highest temperature my hob would go which is 6. I did this for the first two-three minutes. I then turned the temperature down to four at around the three minute mark for two minutes.
At the five minute mark, I put a lid on the ramyun to make the soup base thicken. I turned the temperature back up to six for two more minutes and then took it off the hob and poured into a bowl. Again, I know it says to boil for 4.5 mins but I prefer my noodles to be very soft and smooth so I leave mine on the hob for 7-8 minutes. I then cut my cheese into four squares and place around the ramen for around one minute to melt.
Outcome
Heres a little tip!
Instead of slurping up all the ramyun where you get all the soup onto you, get a small plate (or sauce pan lid to put the ramen on to before you eat it. This lets the soup base lie on to the plate and you don't have to worry about soup splashing on to your top.
