As part of my FMP, I need to design a range of accessories.
My accessories will be based around Canvas Bags and headbands.
I have been doing a few designs on Canvas Bags and so far my favourite design is the New York Skyline!
I drew the template on a piece of ascitate and then placed it on the front of the bag.
Here is the outcome.

Here is my second practice for my Screen Print Practice.
This one was a lot more difficult than my first attempt as I had to create a lot of screens to ensure that each section was a different colour.
First:
I got an image of one of Roy Liechtenstein's famous art work and enlarged it.
I then drew around the outline of the face and hair on ascitate as this will be my base in a dark pink colour.
I will then draw dots to fill the face in for the colour of it in a peach colour.
Next, I drew the eyebrow, tear and darker shades of the hair on another sheet of ascitate.
Finally, I drew the main facial features on the final piece of ascitate.
To help me find what media I want to use in my FMP, I started trying out different techniques that suit my style and theme best for the Surface Design unit.
I first started with Screen Print, in preparation for the screen to be made:
I found a simple New York Skyline Silhouette image from Google, I then drew around the outline on ascitate with an OHP black liner.
I then coloured the full image in so it looked identical to the main picture, I then placed it on top of a plain Canvas Bag to see what it may look like.
